Today I did a pictograph of how Totara 3 get to school each day.
5 People walk,1 Person bikes,18 People take a car,3 People take a bus and 1 person takes bus and car. Most people get to school with a car, the least people get to school by bike.

ReplyDeleteI am not surprised that most children come to school by car. Most kids are getting dropped off by parents on their way to work and don't usually walk themselves anymore. I did this activity with my class once and on this particular day, all the kids came to school in a car! Your graph is clear to read and using the key I can work out how many children use each mode of transport. Maybe you could add comparisons in your findings like
4 more people walked than biked etc.
